Enjoying Amazon’s Echo Show

One of things I like about being an Amazon Prime member is that I can store an unlimited number of photos1 on Amazon Photos without paying extra. This even includes RAW photos. This is useful for me because I only shoot RAW images. I used to shoot RAW plus jpeg but I never used the jpegs so I now shoot only RAW. I have more than 60,000 photos uploaded to Amazon Photos using Amazon’s Mac app.

I also have an Echo Show that sits on my kitchen counter. I have the Echo Show set to automatically display photos from prior years on the same date. This is an easy and fun way to remember what I was doing in prior years. I look forward to seeing what will come up on the screen each day.

  1. Videos are limited to 10GB. Over that, Amazon charges $59.99 per TB. I don’t shoot much video so this doesn’t really affect me — at least not yet.
