Michel Legrand: 1932-2019

Michel LegrandMichel Legrand

I have enjoyed Michel Legrand’s exquisite melodies throughout my life. Adieu.

This is from a 2006 concert performance in Paris of The Hands of Time” with l’Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France. Legrand’s composition is best known as the theme to the 1971 Emmy-winning TV movie Brian’s Song”. The lyrics were written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman.

This is a great Spotify playlist by France Inter.
