Ricoh GR III: YouTube Reviewer Kai Loves It

I’m giving the Ricoh GR III a second look and so far I love it too because of the size, the ability to use it with one hand and the image quality. It truly does fit in a pocket and is very light to hold. It feels great in my hand.

I need to practice to improve focus point selection and exposure. When I get the image properly in focus, the images are very sharp. Noise in low light is excellent. I have to remind myself that this is a pocket camera.

It’s a very different camera and system than the Fuji and Sony cameras I am accustomed to using. I am experimenting with different focus techniques and metering modes. The recent firmware update did improve AF speed.

Exposure compensation is very easy on the GR III. What’s more, just about any setting can be changed quickly with one hand. I need to practice to improve my speed and to develop muscle memory with this tiny camera.

More later.
